Ingredients:
6-7 chicken thighs
Juice of 1 lime
1 cup kasoori methi
1 cup onions (finely sliced)
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp black cardamom powder
3-4 pods green cardamom
1 tsp mace
4-5 cloves
1 bay leaf
1 cup yoghurt
1 tsp turmeric
1 tbs coriander powder
3 tsp red chilli powder
4 1/2 tbs garlic paste
3 tsp ginger paste
2 tsp methi powder
4 tomatoes
4 green chillies
2 tbs chopped coriander leaves
2-3 tbs desi ghee
Salt
Water

Method:

Cut the chicken into even size pieces. Marinate with garlic, ginger, salt, red chilli powder and lime juice for thirty minutes. Soak kasoori methi in water.

Heat desi ghee in a pan, put in the onions. Once they turn brown, turn the fire off and take them out. Blend the onions in a mixer to make a fine paste. Add cinnamon powder, black cardamom powder, green cardamom, mace, cloves and a bay leaf.

Whisk the yoghurt and add salt, turmeric, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Heat desi ghee in a pan. Add garlic and ginger paste and saute. Add the kasoori methi and methi powder, saute for two minutes and then add yoghurt.

Chop tomatoes and add to the yoghurt. Add the brown onion paste, green chillies and water.

Saute and then add the chicken pieces.
